It's that time of year again Valentine's Day is just two weeks away, which means if you haven't picked up anything for your sweetie, you'd better get cracking! If you're a little low on inspiration, here are a few ideas:
A luxury watch
Many underestimate the power of a fine watch these days, which is why they make great gifts people might not be as likely to buy a luxury watch for themselves. Look at Gucci or Raymond Weil's watches; they create only stylish, quality products that your honey will be ecstatic to receive. But, not so fast keep in mind that presentation is just as important as the gift itself. People love having a good story to tell, so do something unique that your love will never forget. It could be as elaborate as a scavenger hunt, with the watch at the end mark, or as simple as "casually" placing it on his or her nightstand or dresser to find in the morning. You can use this trick with any other jewelry, too.
A visit to the spa/a romantic getaway
Book a weekend excursion to someplace you know he or she will love going (and that you can enjoy too!). While he or she is off at work or wherever, pack both your bags, throw 'em in the back of the car, then innocently ask if he or she wants to go to dinner. Once you're in the car, start leaving subtle hints as to where you're going; or, if you want to skip the subtlety, stick a brochure for the place in the sun visor or glove compartment, then ask your honey to get something out of there for you. A couple's spa visit can be both relaxing and romantic, just like a trip to the mountains. Just make sure he or she doesn't have any plans that can't be canceled or rescheduled before you do all this!
A Blu-ray player/digital camera/MP3 player
Electronics always seem way more practical than romantic, but there are easy ways to factor romance into gifts like this. For example, don't just get your boo a Blu-ray player get some of his or her favorite movies to go along with it, the more romantic the better. (Ladies, go ahead and sneak that romantic comedy your man refuses to admit he loves into the mix.) Likewise, give a digital camera with a special "I love you" message recorded on it. Or, if you've gotten your sweetie other gifts, wrap them up, leave them in various places, then take pictures of them for him or her to find. If you go with an MP3 player, pre-upload all your honey's music, along with a special mix of both your favorite love songs. Now that you have oodles of inspiration, get a move on! You only have two weeks, after all just enough time to make this Valentine's Day the most special of all!
