Every day I get a pile of thin paper menus shoved in my door handle. This is annoying but it is even more frustrating to watch legitimate restaurants and other businesses wasting their time with flimsy poorly printed menus and fliers. If you are going to advertise your business to an astute fan of paper like me, you had better step your game up. Heavyweight paper can really make a menu from a restaurant seem valuable. A cleanly printed menu on heavyweight paper seems to beg for your attention. If you spring for the extra care I'll probably consider you for a take-out meal some time.

Other kinds of specialty paper can help showcase your business as well. I love receiving a great promotional card about a big deal, especially when it is on some glossy card stock. When you invest money in well crafted advertisements the public takes you seriously and you have a better chance of making a real connection. Sure printing a hundred terrible looking fliers might get your name out, but at what cost? People will see your business as haphazard and uninterested in being the best. This is not a good look.

When making promotional materials for your business it is important to put all the care you would into the whole of your business. It is, like everything you do when you are a business owner, a reflection on you and your business's philosophy. It is imperative to the people who patronize your venture that what you put out in the world reflects positively on those who support you.

What's more, a high quality of paper will have your menu or flier at the top of everyone's pile. Just by the very nature of custom stock sheets, they tend to not be easily thrown out. You hold it in your hand and you are reminded that there are lives at stake in every business. That this is someone's livelihood. You remember that each business decision you make reflects what you want to see in the world and that you need to support those that seem to be offering something good. Even if that just means quality service and a hot meal, they are providing us at large with something more than just the bare minimum.

This all may seem grandiose but it should be. Shouldn't your business reflect your loftiest ambitions? Shouldn't it be a place that you love and want to share? Doesn't that flier deserve some nice heavyweight paper?
